TV Time Out

In this dark and deary month of November when nighttime settles so quickly, I normally revert to the tv to keep me company. Instead, THIS November, I’ve turned off the tube and for me it’s all about reading.

In front of me at the moment is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas.

Yesterday I finished How to Walk Away by Katherine Center and I also finished on audio The Dime by Kathleen Kent. So, I feel like I have tons more time now than I did last month.

Oh yes, the other thing I did last month was I watched 7 seasons of The Game of Thrones. It is so NOT my kind of show but man, oh man, it was hard to NOT watch once I got into it. I really liked that I could mute the gory scenes and I could fast forward too.

I got the dvds from the library and at the end I had the option to watch the commentary and features. I learned more about the actors, the set, the location, the costumes from the commentators which made watching the next show all the more interesting.

So, that’s it. Enjoy your November!

Smokey Bear

I was told by my 37 year old son, that this is not Smokey THE Bear… It is Smokey Bear. How did he know that? I had to research it to find he was right. And the parent becomes the student!
